A Chemical by Any Other Name…

…tastes just as sweet as before its name change.    And is still the same test-tube cocktail it was before the name-change.

The-sweetner-formally-known-as-Aspertame is now called:  AminoSweet.

That’s a much better name, wouldn’t you agree?  Sounds so–what?–why downright HEALTHY!!  Aminos are good for you, right?  And if they’re sweet, hey, does it get any better?

Ajinomoto, the maker of Aspertame, hopes you’ll enjoy it even more than before, despite evidence showing that it causes neurological brain damage, cancerous tumors, and endocrine disruption, among other things.   Most consumers are oblivious to the fact that Aspartame was invented as a drug but upon discovery of its sweet taste was magically transformed from a drug to a food additive just by switching  a few words on the FDA application….

So buyer beware.  It’s the same crap in a new dress.

And, buoyed by the success of Canola oil (formerly known as the industrial lubricant, rapeseed oil), we’ve got yet another name change coming, so keep a sharp look-out.  High fructose corn syrup is undergoing a makeover as you read this.

What’s next?  DDT?  You know we still make that and dump it in South America…
